The digital inputs on the EMotion controller for limit switches are sourcing inputs (NPN) by default. When selecting limit switches, choose “NPN” switches as they will be compatible with the EMotion controller circuitry. NPN switches are usually more common in US and Asia regions.
PNP sensors are usually more popular in Europe. If you want to connect PNP limit sensors, you will have to add your own circuitry. You can find “PNP to NPN” converters in from most automation equipment providers.
